Born Grace but reborn in music as Mayfair Lady, her journey began in her teenage years, crafting songs that would later define her signature sound. Moving to London with dreams of making a mark, she released her first music in 2020, navigating the industry as an independent artist. Now, with her latest single, You and I, she is setting her sights on an even bigger future—one that includes more releases and a return to the stage in 2025.
"I value people listening to my music and finding something to take away from it," she says. “Whether it’s a feeling, an emotion, or even the soundtrack to a personal moment in their own lives.”
Cinematic Dark Pop: The Soundtrack to Her Life
Mayfair Lady’s music is deeply personal, an extension of her own experiences and emotions. Describing her genre as cinematic dark pop, she weaves intricate storytelling with rich, moody soundscapes. She compares her life to a movie, and her music is its soundtrack—evoking strong visuals, emotions, and intensity.
Her songwriting process is anything but structured. Inspiration strikes unexpectedly— sometimes from a book, an art exhibition, or a fleeting moment in time. “Songs just come to me, music and lyrics at the same time. I record them quickly on my phone or scribble them in a notebook, then bring them to life on the piano,” she shares. This organic approach has led to deeply introspective and hauntingly beautiful compositions that resonate with listeners on an emotional level.
Lana Del Rey stands as her greatest inspiration, an artist she admires for her unwavering artistic identity. Like Lana, Mayfair Lady is determined to carve her own path, staying true to her vision no matter the challenges.
From Underground London to the World Stage
Despite the hurdles of being an independent artist, Mayfair Lady has already accomplished impressive milestones. She has performed at some of London’s most exclusive venues, including Tramp, Albert’s, and Mahiki, and even took the stage at the Yacht Club de Monte Carlo for the Elina Svitolina Foundation. Her music has reached over 300,000 listeners—an achievement she built entirely on her own.
But for her, the journey is far from over. She acknowledges that she hasn’t always given her art the full attention it deserves but is now committed to nurturing her creativity like a growing plant—feeding it inspiration, discipline, and belief. With an ambitious vision ahead, she’s working on a one-woman show and a musical, Mayfair Lady, which she dreams of bringing to Broadway and the West End.
“I hope people who sang along with me in a small London bar will remember those moments when they see my show on the biggest stages,” she says with confidence.
A Multi-Talented Creative Force
Music isn’t Mayfair Lady’s only artistic outlet—visual storytelling is equally important to her. From music videos to album artwork, she takes full creative control, blending her love for photography and video-making with her musical identity. Her DIY approach to visuals ensures that every aspect of her work stays true to her artistic vision.
Collaboration has also played a role in her journey. She co-wrote Money with fellow singer- songwriter Julia Zelg and had remixes of her tracks created by UK Garage DJ Soulecta and Synthwave duo New Arcades. As for future dream collaborations? Jack Antonoff is at the top of her list. “We could create something epic. Maybe get him a sixth Grammy... and a first for me,” she jokes.
A Message to the Dreamers
At the heart of Mayfair Lady’s artistry is a message for fellow creatives: “Make art first and foremost for yourself. Forget about money and fame—just create because the world needs your art.”
She believes that true artists don’t seek validation but create for the sake of leaving a legacy. “When we’re gone, our art will remain, inspiring future generations. That’s why we must take up space and share our work with the world.”
With a determined spirit, an evolving sound, and a grand vision for the future, Mayfair Lady is not just an artist to watch—she’s an artist to remember.
